Mock Pinterest Ad Campaign
created by Sam Rinaldi and Diego Morales
The Role: Designer & Copywriter
The Vibe: Gen Z / Aesthetic / Self-Expressive
The Challenge: Pinterest had a "Mom Brand" problem. While it’s the king of inspiration, younger audiences saw it as a place for wedding planning and home decor rather than a tool for their own subcultures. We needed to reposition the platform to stay relevant to a new generation.
The Strategy: Gen Z doesn't just want to "pin"—they want to "become." Working with Strategist Diego Morales, we focused on the insight that Gen Z values radical self-expression. We reframed Pinterest as the starting line for their next identity, shifting the focus from passive curation to active creation.
The Making: I took the lead on the visual and verbal execution. I designed the campaign posters and crafted a "voice" that felt authentic to Gen Z—punchy, aesthetic, and direct. This project was a masterclass in how a sharp creative brief can be transformed into a visual system that changes brand perception.
